Welcome To ACK Christ The King - Ruaka

God has been gracious enough to enable us grow from strength to strength as we approach our tenth anniversary as a church and second as a parish by December 2016. We have been through turbulence along the way but we have also grown tremendously. Below is a summarized history of our Parish.

We are an Anglican Church, located in Ruaka Township of Kiambu County, in the Diocese of Mount Kenya South. We started as ACK New Ruaka Church in a rented plot back in December 2006. We managed to buy two plots half an acre over years and managed to move to our current location at the tail end of Kariuki Drive.

We relocated to the current location on 1/04/2013. We were christened ACK CHRIST THE KING RUAKA on 8th June, 2014 by the Diocesan Bishop the Rt. Rev. Timothy Ranji. Six months later, we were given a Parish status on 1st January 2015.

While here we have managed to buy a third plot through a loan which we are currently repaying. On Membership, we started the church with 80 members. There has been an exponential growth on the same and we are currently looking at 600 members in the three services.

Our Mission

To develop a parish that builds, equips and empowers the community through teaching and preaching the word of God using the available resources.

Our Vision

Be dressed ready for service: Luke 12:35

A strong and vibrant Parish grounded on the word of God.

From The Vicars Desk

We welcome every one of us in Jesus Name. I thank God for taking us this far.  During our Annual General Meeting held on 28th February 2016 we agreed that we shall be having our newsletter every 4months, kindly be reading it keenly to know what the church is doing.  During the same A.G.M we agreed we shall not be holding harambee’s but we shall be supporting the church projects through tithing, improved collection and Thanksgiving.

Bible Reading for today

Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls.

St. Mathew 11:28
